The Application Process

Preparation and Entrance Examination :
This initial phase focuses on meeting the eligibility criteria and securing a competitive score on a standardized aptitude test.
Eligibility Check : The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree (usually with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) from a recognized University in India.
Entrance Exam : This is the most crucial screening stage. Candidate must get good score in CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT, NMAT, SNAP and MH-CET.

Application Submission (The Written Profile)
Once the exam results are out, candidates apply to Pune College SKNSSBM. This step involves compiling a comprehensive written profile.
Online Application Form : Submitting academic details (10th, 12th, and Graduation scores/GPA), work experience, and personal information.
Statement of Purpose (SOP) / Essays : This is the candidate’s personal narrative. It must clearly articulate career goals (short and long-term), the rationale for pursuing a Management Program from Pune College SKNSSBM now, and why this specific school is the best fit.

Final Selection Rounds (Shortlisting & Evaluation)
After the application review, shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in the final evaluation rounds.
Written Ability Test (WAT) (Depends on student’s profile) : Candidates are given a topic (often current affairs or abstract) and must write an essay within a fixed time (e.g., 20-30 minutes). This tests the candidate’s ability to structure arguments, analyze, and communicate effectively in writing.
Group Discussion (GD) (Virtually / Offline) : A small group is given a topic to discuss. This assesses communication skills, logical reasoning, teamwork, assertiveness, and leadership potential.
Personal Interview (PI) : This is the final and often the most critical stage. It is conducted by a panel of faculty and/or alumni. The PI probes the candidate’s:
- Motivation: Why MBA? Why this school?
- Experience: Deep dive into the resume and work accomplishments.
- Current Affairs & General Awareness.
- Fit: Assessing personality, ethical values, and clarity of thought.

Final Merit List :
The final admission offer is based on a composite score derived from weighted criteria, which typically includes:
Composite Criteria : Entrance Exam Score, Performance in GD/WAT/PI, Past Academic Record, Work Experience, and Diversity factors.
